French River, P.E.I.
Took our parents to French River, P.E.I. to the Geddy Memorial to pay our respect and visit the cemetery where Dads family are resting. Jaynie MacKenzie (Currie) grew up in French River with her brothers who were farmers and fishermen. Frank who fought in the Great War and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Private Frank MacKenzie was killed in action at the Village of Pavillars in France on August 19, 1918 during World War 1. Today we honoured our great uncle Frank and others who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
